EtherCon® ruggedized RJ45 connectors provide solutions for data transfer in harsh demanding environments by offering a cable carrier and receptacle that helps to protect the contacts of the RJ45 connections. Designed to protect the fragile latch and cover of standard RJ45 connectors from breakage, you will find uses for this connector system in Ethernet networking of audio, commercial, entertainment, stage production, DMX lighting, industrial and outdoor Internet access applications. The Ethercon series offers both male cable carriers and assembled female receptacles. The cable end offers a robust diecast shell as a carrier for pre-assembled RJ45 plugs. Female chassis connectors are based on the current Neutrik "A" series as well the "D" series of XLR receptacles with secure latching system - a feature not found on other RJ45 receptacles. Termination is offered in both IDC Krone and IDC 110 punch down terminals.
